2026 Tenpin Toolkit Under Over Doubles Results

What an incredible day of bowling at the 2026 Tenpin Toolkit Under–Over Doubles Tournament!

The tournament was organised to raise money for Sussex’s three Youth Bowling Clubs—Crawley YBC, Eastbourne Youth Bowling Club and Worthing YBCs—and the support from everyone involved was absolutely fantastic.

After three games of qualifying, An Under and An Over Trevor Hammond-Thayre and George Huckle led the field with an impressive 1415, followed closely by Kinell Tim Wood and Jeff Campbell on 1393. The top eight teams advanced, but once match play began, qualifying positions counted for nothing.

The quarter-finals delivered excitement immediately. An Under and An Over continued their strong form, defeating the Puppeteers Steve Creasy and Lee Cook 429–361. Generation XXX produced an excellent 456 to knock out second seeds Kinell, while Pin-Credibles Riley Batchelor and Aaron Mitchell overcame VicTer Vicky Knightsbridge and Terry Browning 461–423.

The closest contest came between Towering Tenpins Oliver Stroud and Simon Stroud and Crawley YBC Daren Knightsbridge And Jamie Osbourne. In a thrilling, high-scoring encounter, Towering Tenpins survived by just six pins, winning 483–477.

There were also some fantastic individual achievements during the day. George Huckle didn’t just bowl one personal best—he achieved two, recording both his highest-ever game and his best three-game series 205/522. Riley Batchelor also celebrated a new personal-best game with a brilliant 240. Congratulations to both young athletes on their outstanding performances!

The semi-finals brought even more drama. Generation XXX edged past the top qualifiers, An Under and An Over, by the smallest possible margin—431–429. Just two pins separated the teams!

In the other semi-final, Pin-Credibles continued their charge, defeating Towering Tenpins 451–405 to book their place in the championship match.

An Under and An Over recovered brilliantly in the bronze-medal playoff, defeating Towering Tenpins 435–417 and ensuring their excellent day ended with a deserved place on the podium.

That left Generation XXX and Pin-Credibles battling for the title. Generation XXX had already produced one upset, but Pin-Credibles saved their finest performance for the biggest moment. A superb 517 secured a commanding victory over Generation XXX’s 399.

Alongside the bowling, we held a raffle with some fantastic prizes. The top prize was a brand-new bowling ball supplied by RBS Pro Shops at Airport Bowl, which was won by Brett Ward. Other prizes included free games donated by Hollywood Bowl Crawley, a bright yellow bowling pin and a bowling shammy. The Sussex Tenpin Bowling Association also made a cash contribution to boost the final amount raised.

We are delighted to announce that the event raised an incredible £1,100. That means approximately £366.67 for each of the three Sussex YBCs, helping to support the next generation of bowlers at Crawley, Eastbourne and Worthing.
