LET'S MAKE OUR SPORT BETTER.
Coaching significantly enhances athletic performance by providing guidance, support, and motivation that helps athletes identify and address areas for improvement, develop skills, and build confidence. Effective coaching focuses on both the technical aspects of the sport and the athlete's mental and emotional well-being, fostering a holistic approach to performance enhancement. In essence, effective coaching provides the necessary guidance, support, and motivation for athletes to reach their full potential, developing both their physical skills and their mental and emotional well-being.

One of the best ways for our younger athletes to have access to coaching is to join a local YBC (Youth Bowling Club). Suitable for ages 6-21*, YBCs have trained coaches who are DBS and sports safeguard checked to help children progress in the sport of bowling. YBC coaches are often on hand when YBCs visit tournaments.
Training a coach involves providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to effectively guide and support others in achieving their goals. This can be achieved through various methods, including the EBF Academy

The EBF offer accredited coach training programs. These programs often include modules on coaching foundations, the coaching relationship, goal setting, and various coaching techniques. Completion of these programs leads to certifications, demonstrating a coach's competency and commitment to professional standards. Contact us to inquire about a course near you if you are looking at training to become a coach.
